Description
While working on some openSUSE packaging, I noticed that PB maps this to suse, which is not really a correct action to do (consider the Fedora vs RedHat analogy). This is less of a problem now, since the SuSE Professional versions are no longer, but I'd prefer no translations like this if possible.

I agree the mapping could be externalize. I think we need to work on your map idea a bit closer and then come back to that ER and do what is needed then.

As of rev [897] and upper, the distributions/OS definitions have been externalized in a conf file /etc/pb/pb.conf Please check to see if it cover all your needs around distro/OS remaping.

Actually I'd like to broaden the scope of this, since other distros also remap (like fedora -> fc* and the "c" is really a misnomer with current releases). Perhaps you can externalize this into a user configurable table, supplying best practice info with a default install, but allow user customization/override capability)
